One of the most sought-after moments in a camper or hikers' trip is the dawn of day. When the first rays of Sun appear and then the beginning of its sphere. Many sit quietly in solitude. Others take pictures. All want to bathe in the beauty and peacefulness of the brief moment of time and remember it. It brings with it much joy. There is also another dawning that brings joy to those who seek it and experience it.

"So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts." 2 Peter 1 verse 19 It is where Heaven and Earth meet in our lives. It is where the Creator meets the created "...because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us." Romans 5 verse 5.

In the lower story it may be the dawning of a new day that brings us joy and gladness. In the upper story where Heaven meets mankind it is where Theologian Fredrick Buechner says it best, "The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."

The dawning of a new day is but for a moment, but the joy of Christ is forever

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full." John 15:11.
